ANVIL DEPLOYMENT SPECIALIST
The ANVIL Deployment Specialist certification program prepares developers with the requisite knowledge to install and configure new deployments of the ANVIL Suite. This training covers a variety of deployment architectures suitable for both cloud-based and on-premise hosting.
This certification ensures that individuals have a solid foundational knowledge of how all ANVIL applications and technologies interact, how to configure & manage containers and clusters, how to construct application data fields, and how to troubleshoot common issues.

Upon completion of this training program, successful candidates will have mastered the following skills:
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of ANVIL deployment architectures, and sound knowledge of the individual components and services within the platform
Install the ANVIL Suite in a variety of environments (remote cluster, on-premises cluster, single machine) and perform post-installation validation of core functionality
Troubleshoot and resolve common installation issues
Administration of User Accounts, Permissions, Classification, Compartments, and Groups
Cluster administration including monitoring, maintenance, installation of upgrades and updates, and backup/restore operations

Before undertaking this training, candidates should have:
Knowledge of OpenShift/OKD
Knowledge of Container technologies including Kubernetes and Docker
Knowledge of Linux operating systems (CentOS, Fedora, Redhat)
Knowledge to deploy, secure, and operate hosted OpenShift/Kubernetes on cloud, or on-premise VMs and baremetal
Distributed computing experience

This certification provides the expertise necessary to successfully deploy the ANVIL suite in either a secure cloud environment or on-premise.
Eligible candidates will:
Hold an active Government of Canada or equivalent security clearance of Secret or higher;
Have access to a facility suitably equipped for handling controlled goods as set out here;
Have strong knowledge in DevOps and hands-on experience with software engineering;
Possess their own hardware suitable for accessing the course modules; and
Have an active secure high speed internet connection.

Introducing images to an organization
Configuring the required components for the set ANVIL Suite stack
Deploying/installing the ANVIL Suite stack using OpenShift and Docker Compose

Provisioning new User Accounts
Adding and customizing Permissions
Setting a default blueprint
ANVIL Cluster Administration
Performing health checks
Upgrading/Updating
Monitoring
Back up and Restore operations
Troubleshooting
Debugging
Identifying common deployment problems
Remediating containers with bad data
Identifying network-related issues
